PUBLIC AUCTIONS

Public Auctions

The City of Cross Plains conducts public auctions to sell surplus, seized, or unclaimed property in accordance with state law and local policy. These auctions are open to the general public, providing an opportunity to purchase items such as vehicles, equipment, tools, and other city-owned assets no longer in use.

Types of Items Typically Auctioned

City-owned vehicles and heavy equipment
Office furniture and electronics
Police-seized or unclaimed property
Miscellaneous surplus items

Auction Format

Auctions may be held:

Online through approved third-party auction platforms
Onsite at a designated city location (announced in advance)

Each auction will include a detailed listing of available items, terms of sale, and instructions for participation.

Payment is due in full at the time of sale, in accordance with posted terms.
Winning bidders are responsible for the removal and transportation of purchased items by the specified deadline.
